Ridgeland PD makes drug arrest; 11-month-old sleeping during the bust

On October 1, 2024, Ridgeland Police Street Crimes Unit and Ridgeland Police Narcotics Detectives, with the assistance of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, executed a narcotics search warrant at 296 Planters Grove in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

As a result of the search warrant, Detectives seized approximately 9.7 pounds of Marijuana, 32 ounces of THC Wax, and approximately 2.7 ounces of Psilocybin Mushrooms. Two handguns and two AR style pistols were also recovered. An 11 month old child was found asleep in the bedroom within close proximity to the unsecured firearms and narcotics. Child Protective Services was notified, and the child was placed into the custody of a family member.

Justyn Wilson (26) of Ridgeland, Mississippi was arrested and subsequently charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute, Tampering with Evidence, and Child Endangerment.
