Mother found stabbed to death in bedroom of her Jackson home
JACKSON, MS. – Jackson Police are investigating after a woman was found stabbed to death at her Jackson home. The homicide happened in the 3400 block of Exchange Drive Monday morning.
According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, the 58-year-old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds in her bedroom by a family member.
Family identified the woman as 58-year-old Margaret Washington.
Chief Wade said the stabbed woman’s vehicle was stolen by the alleged suspect and later recovered in South Jackson.
A suspect has not been identified at this time.
“My heart, prayers, and condolences go out to her family…” Chief Wade said. “We are trying to establish what happened and who committed this very heinous act to this young lady who stayed here by herself.”
