Gentiva Hospice of Vicksburg hosts food drive for Storehouse Community Food Pantry through September 30

VICKSBURG, Ms. – During the month of September, Gentiva teams in more than 400 locations will be collecting food and funds to benefit Feeding America or a local food bank in their communities. The local recipient for this year’s drive is Storehouse Community Food Pantry.

The following is just an example of what the Pantry needs the most. The Storehouse Community Food Pantry would love to have anything non-perishable that you would like to donate including diapers, personal hygiene items, etc.

• Peanut Butter/Jelly
• Canned Tomatoes, Tomato Sauce, Green Beans, Peas, Pork and Beans, Mixed Vegetables, Tuna, Fruit, Soup, Meat (ex. Vienna Sausage), Meat Meals (ex. Ravioli)
• Ramen Noodles
• Vegetable Oil
• Jiffy Cornbread Mix
• Dried Beans
• Saltine Crackers
• Spaghetti Sauce
• Spaghetti Noodles
• Instant Oatmeal (individual envelopes)
• Juice (individual and large plastic bottles)
• Sugar (small bags)
• Flour (small bags)
• Toilet Paper
• Bar Soap

Items can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Gentiva Hospice, located at 1990 South Frontage Rd., Suite I, Vicksburg, MS 39180. Or call Natalie Noble, LP/Hospice Care Coordinator, for pickup at 601-618-1333.
