Fayette PD makes an arrest after a homecoming night shooting
FAYETTE, MS – The Fayette Police Department has arrested a man in relation to last Saturday morning’s homecoming shooting. Ronald Thompson III was arrested on Monday and charged with Aggravated Assault, Shooting in an Occupied Dwelling, and Shooting into a Vehicle.
The shooting happened just after midnight on September 21 when multiple people began shooting on Main Street. The act was caught on camera and one person was struck by a bullet but had no life-threatening injuries.
At his initial hearing, Thompson received a $45,000 bail and his case will be handed over to the grand jury.
