Second arrest made in fatal Vicksburg shooting

Jessica Ransom, 29, 0f Vicksburg was arrested Thursday, November 30 on a warrant for Hindering Prosecution.  This comes as a result of her involvement with the November 17, 2023, shooting death of Aleigha Sanders of Port Gibson.

Mario Cortez Bailey, 21, of Eagle Lake, Mississippi, was taken into custody November 19 at the Vicksburg Police Department.

Ransom appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, November 30, before Judge Angela Carpenter.  Her bond was set at $50,000 and she was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
