Seven Hinds Football Players Earn All-MACCC Honors

JACKSON, Miss. – Seven members of the Hinds Community College football team earned All-MACCC honors following their performances on the field during the 2024 season. Three Eagles earned First Team All-MACCC, one was named Second Team All-MACCC and three earned Honorable Mention honors.

Saquon Miles was named to the All-MACCC First team following a standout season at Right Tackle. The sophomore was an anchor on the right side of the offensive line playing in all nine games this season for the Eagles.

Devarrick Woods was also named to the All-MACCC First team following his performance on the gridiron during the 2024 season. The sophomore played in all nine games for Hinds. Additionally, he racked up 43 total tackles and registered four sacks.

Walter Owens was the final Eagle to earn First Team All-MACCC honors following his performance at defensive back this season. Owen played in all nine games for Hinds and totaled 50 tackles on the season. Additionally, he had three interception and forced one fumble. 

Tyrell Pollard was named to the All-MACCC Second team following his performance on the field for the Eagles. Pollard finished his sophomore campaign playing in all nine games and caught 25 passes. Additionally, he totaled 429 receiving yards and tallied six touchdowns for Hinds. 

Demar Gardner was named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention team in his freshman campaign. Gardner played in eight games for the Eagles, racked up 180 receiving yards, and scored two touchdowns in his collegiate debut season. 

Cameron Williams was named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention team in his sophomore season with Hinds. Cameron was another anchor for the offensive line as he played Center for Hinds.

TJ Kelly was named to the All-MACCC Honorable Mention team this season following his performance on the field. Kelly racked up 58 total tackles for the Eagles with his best performance coming in the home finale against PRCC as he posted 15 total tackles. Additionally, he had one sack and one forced fumble.
