Summer Chef Series Kicks Off at Catfish Row Museum

The Catfish Row Museum is gearing up for an exciting start to summer with the launch of its Summer Chef Series. The kickoff event, set for Saturday, May 18th at 10 a.m., will feature acclaimed chef and author Susanne Duplantis, known for her book “Lagniappe Leftovers.”

Duplantis is recognized for her expertise in transforming leftover ingredients into delicious meals while reducing waste. In this event, she’ll share her creative techniques, revealing how to turn everyday ingredients into delicious dishes. The kickoff will coincide with the opening day of the Vicksburg Farmers’ Market.

The event is made possible by partners such as Downtown Vicksburg Main Street Program, Visit Vicksburg, Vicksburg Farmers’ Market, Ali Hopson, Nutrition Matters, and Lorelei Books.
