Suspect charges upgraded to Capital Murder in Port Gibson; Bond denied

PORT GIBSON, Miss. (VDN) — A Port Gibson murder suspect has been denied bond and his charge have been upgraded to Capital Murder. 20-year-old D’Onee Edwards was arrested on Saturday for the murder of 22-year-old Larry Mosley Jr. of Edwards, MS.
Edwards went before Judge Mareesha Odom on Monday where she denied his bail.

The Port Gibson Police Department is investigating a tragic murder that occurred early this morning at The Windsor Arms Apartments, located at 417 McComb Avenue in Port Gibson, Mississippi.
At approximately 3:38 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered the victim, 22-year-old Larry Mosley Jr. of Edwards, MS, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Mr. Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect, 20-year-old D’Onee Edwards of Port Gibson, MS, who has been charged with murder in connection with this incident.
Edwards is currently in custody and awaiting arraignment. Due to the weekend, Edwards might not have an official court appearance until next week.
Chief Russell Dorsey expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Larry Mosley Jr.
