Three Arrested in Vicksburg for New Year’s Eve Natchez Shooting

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Three individuals were arrested Wednesday evening for their alleged involvement relating to a shooting incident in Natchez on New Years Eve that left one dead and five injured.

According to the Natchez Democrat, Keyuan King, 24, of Natchez died from multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting incident on New Year’s Eve on Fingers Lane in Natchez.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said King was one of five people who had been transported to the hospital. Three were taken by ambulance and two more by private vehicles to Merit Health Natchez. More people possibly hurt on the scene refused medical treatment, he said.

During the course of the investigation, the Vicksburg Police Department were able to locate the three individuals at the Rodeway Inn on Pemberton Blvd.

Just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, the Vicksburg Police were able to arrest the three individuals without incident.

This is an active investigation. Adams County has not released the names of the suspects.
