 – The Hinds Community College Football team continued to see their players grab more postseason honors on Tuesday as Saquan Miles (Greenville), Vernorrius Chaney (Macon), and Branden Jennings (Jacksonville, Fla.) was named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 team following their performances on the gridiron this past season.

Saquan Miles was named to the All-Region 23 team on Tuesday in his inaugural season with the Eagles’ football program. Saquan was a force all season long, anchoring the right side of the offensive line in all nine games this past season.

Vernorrius Chaney also found its way onto the NJCAA All-Region 23 team. Chaney played in all nine games for the Eagles and totaled 41 tackles. Additionally, he picked off two passes and registered 4.0 TFL. The Macon, Miss. native finished the season with seven pass break ups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Branden Jennings paved the way to get his name on the NJCAA All-Region 23 team for his performance during the 2023 season. Jennings led the Eagles’ defense in multiple categories this season including 42 solo tackles, 58 total tackles, and 6.5 tackles for loss. Additionally, he registered a sack and had a scoop and score in our annual Pink Out game.
