Tracy Norris

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
Tracy Lynn Green Norris left this earth and entered into Jesus’ arms on May 24, 2026, at the age of 55. After courageously battling numerous health conditions with grace and strength, she passed away suddenly at home.
Tracy was born on January 25, 1971, to Thad and Glenda Green. A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she was blessed with many lifelong friendships both near and far. As a young girl, Tracy was an exceptionally talented soccer player and carried that same passion and determination throughout life. For more than 20 years, Tracy devoted herself to caring for the elderly, serving others with compassion and kindness. She was a homemaker who enjoyed decorating, helping those in need, and especially loved animals. Tracy was excitedly helping remodel the new home she and her husband shared, a project that brought her much joy and hope for the future.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Tracy loved God deeply and cherished being part of the Bible study groups she attended.
She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 30 years, Troy Norris; her mother, Glenda Ervin; her brother, Mark Green and his wife Tommy; her sisters, Brenda Green Smith and her husband Sean; Linda Green Bills and her husband Eric; and Pamela Green Antoine; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Delana Norris; her grandparents, Jack and Lena Hearn; her father, Thad Green; her aunt, Gail Lamb Steed; her uncle, Jackie Hearn; and her nephew, Dawson Smith.
Tracy will be remembered for her kind heart, loving faith, and generous spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Glenwood Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Roger Cresswell. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
