Tyrone Shorter, Port Gibson Native, Selected to Coach In The MS vs Alabama All-Star Game
Port Gibson native Tyrone Shorter has been selected to coach in the Mississippi vs. Alabama All-Star Football Game as an assistant coach. Shorter is the Head Coach at Louisville High School.
Shorter is currently in his sixth season as Louisville’s Head Coach where he is coming off of back-to-back state championship seasons in 2022(14-1) and 2023(15-0). He has won three state titles at Louisville.
Before taking over as the Wildcats Head Coach, Shorter spent nine years as the Noxubee County Head Coach. He won a total of four state championships at Noxubee County before making the move to LHS.
Overall, Shorter has seven state championships, and seven north state championships, was named coach of the year seven times, and was selected to coach in the 2024 Under Armour All-American Game. His overall head coaching record is 164-38.
The 2024 Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Football Game will be played in Mobile, AL on Saturday, December 14 at noon at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the campus of the University of South Alabama.
