Vicksburg rallies past Lanier in five-set thriller

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg High extended its strong season on Thursday night, rallying to beat Lanier in five sets and improving to 10-1 overall and 5-0 in district play. The Missy Gators dropped the first two sets 23-25 and 25-27 before storming back to win the next three, 25-10, 25-19 and 15-6.
Jordan Grace paced Vicksburg with 22 points and eight digs, while Amari Johnson added six points and 14 digs. Jamiya Stewart and Saudia Stewart each finished with 10 points, and Teagan Stewart contributed 12 points. Jada Erwin chipped in six points and five digs, while Kenley Henderson scored six points. Dallas West had three points, and Alaina Williams added five.
The win kept Vicksburg undefeated in district play(5-0) as they continue to build on their 10-1 record this season.
