PCA took a 20-14 loss to Wilkinson County Christian

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN)Porter’s Chapel Academy battled until the end but came up short in a 20-14 loss to Wilkinson County Christian School on Friday night. The defeat marked the Eagles’ second straight setback after falling to Briarfield Academy a week earlier.

The game turned into a defensive struggle highlighted by big plays on both sides. For PCA, Auston Moore led the way with 11 tackles and three tackles for loss, while Tommy Nelson added nine tackles and intercepted two passes. Schaffer Bell delivered the Eagles’ biggest moment of the night with an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown, and Chad Fuson scored on a 3-yard run.

Wilkinson Christian (3-0) relied on Jacob Sessions, who hauled in two touchdown passes to help build a 20-6 lead in the third quarter.

Porter’s Chapel (1-2) will look to regroup at home next Friday when it faces Claiborne Academy.
