Vicksburg’s Dr. Steven Reed Named AOA President
Dr. Steven Reed is the first AOA President from Mississippi.
Congratulations to Dr. Steven Reed, co-owner of Southern Eye Care of Vicksburg, as he was inaugurated as the 104th American Optometric Association president at their conference last week in Nashville; the first AOA president from Mississippi. The annual four-day education, governance, and networking conference focused on optometry’s essential and expanding role in health care.
Dr. Reed and his wife, Kendra are co-owners of The Inn at Cedar Grove Mansion here in Vicksburg
The American Optometric Association (AOA), founded in 1898, is the leading authority on quality care and an advocate for our nation’s health, representing more than 50,000 doctors of optometry (O.D.), optometric professionals and optometry students. Dr. Reed has served on the AOA Board of Trustees since 2016.
