FDA recalls two brands of supplements due to possible salmonella contamination. Stay informed about the recall and health risks.

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Food and Drug Administration said two brands of superfood supplements are being recalled due to a possible health risk.
Total Nutrition Inc. is recalling its moringa-filled supplements, TNVitamins Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood and Doctor’s Pride Complete Green Superfood Ultra Potent Moringa Capsules.
The FDA has said the products may be contaminated with salmonella.
Amazon, Walmart, Target and TikTok were all platforms on which the supplements could be purchased.
The recalled supplements were sold in white bottles with white caps and contained 120 capsules. They can be identified by their lot numbers and expiration dates.
The FDA reported the supplements are part of an ongoing investigation in a multistate salmonella outbreak linked to dietary supplements containing the imported moringa leaf powder.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is also investigating the salmonella outbreak, there have been 119 reported illnesses, 32 of which resulted in hospitalizations.
Anyone who has the recalled products is advised to throw them away.
