Warren Central shuts out Gentry and completes 5-0 regular season
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central High School girls’ flag football team capped an undefeated regular season with an 8-0 road win over Gentry, improving to 5-0 on the year with another shutout.
The game’s lone touchdown came in the second half when quarterback Ashlyn Naya connected with Calleigh Barnette on a 25-yard scoring pass. Barnette also secured the successful 2-point conversion.
Warren Central’s defense controlled the game throughout. Keasia Williams recorded two interceptions, while Camara Evans added another. Kylee Chambers led the pass rush with three sacks, and Ballet Duty and Tramiya Williams each finished with two sacks.
The Lady Vikes will return home next week to host North Panola in the first round of the playoffs.

Vicksburg High took a 36-6 loss to Florence. Dallas West scored the lone touchdown for the Missy Gators. They will travel to play Southaven next week.
