Warren Central shuts out Greenville behind Greer’s 16 strikeouts

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School defeated Greenville High School 6-0 on Friday night in district play.

The win improves the Vikings to 7-6-1 overall and 2-0 in the district under head coach Randy Broome.

Justin Greer delivered a dominant performance on the mound, striking out 16 batters while allowing just one hit in the shutout victory.

At the plate, Tristan Jamison recorded a double and drove in one run. Caden Cole and Jacob Kealhofer each added one hit and one RBI to help lead the offensive effort.

Warren Central will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Neshoba Central.
