VICKSBURG, Miss. – An early morning fire on Warrenton Lane early Thursday, Feb. 27, is believed to have been intentionally set, according to Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps.

“At approximately 6:54 a.m. this morning, the Vicksburg Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 901 Warrenton Lane,” said Stamps. “Upon arrival, firefighters noticed smoke and promptly initiated an interior attack, successfully extinguishing the fire with minimal damage to the structure. The fire exhibited multiple points of origin, indicating it was likely intentionally set.”

Fire Investigator Nathaniel Williams will lead the investigation. No injuries were reported.
