WC defeated Ridgeland on the road

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School picked up a pair of volleyball victories on the road over Ridgeland on Thursday night. The Lady Vikes swept the junior varsity match 2-0 before taking the varsity contest in four sets.

Warren Central won the varsity match 25-23, 23-25, 26-24 and 25-23. Ka’Ryn Henderson led the attack with 13 kills, followed by Arrionna Jenkins with eight. Jailyn Fairley added six kills, while Kennedi Zellous and Kamryn Kelly chipped in five apiece.

Serving was also a bright spot as Jaliyah Stamps recorded four aces, and both Jenkins and Kamdyn Fulgham finished with three each. On defense, Maddy Pant, Fulgham and KeKe McKay all tallied seven digs. Kylie Hearn had five assists, and Kelly added four to help seal the win. The Lady Vikes are 4-0 in district play.

WC will host Vicksburg High on Monday.
