WC Tennis Captures a Win Over Ridgeland

Warren Central High School tennis team finished Wednesday with a 6-1 win over Ridgeland.

Ivan Ozhereley(6-4,6-3) and Avery Hern(6-0,6-1) pulled off wins in the boys and girls’ singles. Sam Harris and Luke Bond(6-0,6-1) put away Lance Miller and Josh Gaylon in the boys’ double 1 while Brady Taylor and Gray Lampkin(6-1,6-0) came out victorious in the boys’ double 2.

Lili Feibelman and Sydney Sullivan(6-0,6-0) shut out Brinson and Brown in the girl’s double 1 while Charles Harris and Ellie Tennison(6-0,6-0) shut out Majors and Edward in the mixed doubles.

WC’s only loss came in the girls’ doubles 2, where Laura Bailey and Amelia King fell short 4-6 in both rounds.

The Vikings will host Jackson Victors at Halls Ferry Park at 3 pm on Thursday.
