WC Tennis Team Earns a District Win Over Columbus

Vicksburg, Miss.-Warren Central High School’s tennis team came out with a 7-0 district win over Columbus.

Ivan Ozherelev took home a win in the boys single with a score of 6-2 and 7-5. Avery Hern came out victorious in the girls singles(6-0,6-0) while Luke Bond and Sam Harris(6-0,6-0) also got a shutout win in the boys doubles 1. Charles Harris and Brady Taylor won the boys doubles 2(6-0,6-0).

Sydney Sullivan and Lili Feibelman won the girls doubles 1(6-1,6-1) while Amelia King and Laura Bailey dominated in the girls doubles 2(6-1,6-0). A.T. Hossley and Gray Lampkin won the mixed doubles in a 6-0 shutout in both matches.

The Vikings will play again on March 15.
