601 Bulls 14U Team Wins Summer Showcase, Eyes Nationals

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—The 601 Bulls 14U basketball team captured the championship title at the Summer Showcase over the weekend with an impressive series of wins.

The Bulls opened the tournament with a dominant 53-27 victory over the Jackson Jokers. They followed up with a 59-41 win against OTM Elite before sealing the title in the championship game with a 41-29 win over the Jackson Blue Devils Elite.

“These guys are so talented,” Head Coach Sherman Logan said. “They all play well together. I love these guys, and now it seems like we just expect to win because that’s the mindset we bring into every tournament.”

With the Summer Showcase behind them, the team is now turning its focus to a bigger goal.

“What we really want is to win nationals on July 26-27 in Ruston, Louisiana,” Logan said.

The Bulls have been building momentum throughout the summer and are looking to cap off the season with a national title.
