In a tragic turn of events, a 38-year-old woman from Natchez, Chelsea Anding, has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder following the death of her 9-month-old
daughter.

Chelsea Anding was apprehended at the hospital by officials from the Natchez Police Department. Initially facing charges of Felony Child Abuse, Judge Christina Daugherty decided to elevate the charges to second-degree
murder upon the child’s passing.
