Fifth-Wheel Trailer Catches Fire in Vicksburg, No Injuries Reported

VICKSBURG, Miss. — The Vicksburg Fire Department responded to reports of fully engulfed fifth-wheel trailer this afternoon off of 61 South. No injuries were reported.

“At approximately 2:46 p.m., the Vicksburg Fire Department received a call reporting a structure fire at 1 Magnolia Rd. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters encountered a fifth-wheel trailer completely engulfed in flames, creating a plume of smoke visible from a distance,” said Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps. “The crew immediately assessed the situation and began battling the fire using their hoses and extinguishing equipment. Their prompt and coordinated efforts prevented the fire from spreading to nearby structures. After a thorough effort, the flames were successfully extinguished.”

Chief stamps added that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
