Vicksburg Theatre Guild marks 90th Season with open house

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Theatre Guild is celebrating 90 years of local theater magic with an open house, this afternoon, May 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Parkside Playhouse for an afternoon of food, fun, and a preview of the upcoming 2025–2026 season.

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the historic playhouse, chat with directors and membership staff, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how community theater comes to life. The Guild will also unveil its next season lineup and updated membership options during the event.

Triple J’s PizzaTaco, Snowbiz Vicksburg, and Knockout Nutrition will be on site. Children (or kids at heart) can enjoy free face painting by Makayla Shows, with donations gladly accepted.

Two 50/50 raffles will be held—one with $1 tickets and another with $5 tickets. Winners will take home half the pot, with the remaining proceeds supporting the Vicksburg Theatre Guild.

This event is free and open to the public. The Parkside Playhouse is located at 101 Iowa Avenue.
