One dead in single vehicle incident at Fisher Ferry and Grange Hall

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A freak accident has left one person dead near the triangle intersection of Fisher Ferry and Grange Hall road.

Just after 4 p.m. a call came into E911 for a traumatic injury near the area of the 2600 block of Fisher Ferry road. Details of the incident have not been made available at this time. However, the Vicksburg Daily News did report that Warren County coroner Doug Huskey was on scene, confirming one person is dead in the accident.

No further information is available, the Vicksburg Daily News will update this story when additional information is made available.

UPDATE – Friday, 8 a.m. – Details of the accident have been partially released. The victim was driving a dump truck and had stopped at the intersection of Grange Hall and Fisher Ferry. They were working near the rear of the vehicle when an unspecified incident occurred, trapping the victim and killing him instantly.

The deceased is 77-year-old Louis Hasty of Warren County.
