Salvation Army to host annual 9/11 Hero Breakfast for first responders

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Salvation Army of Vicksburg will host its annual 9/11 Hero Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 7 to 9 a.m. at 530 Mission 66.
The event is dedicated to honoring the service of local first responders, including firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, Coast Guard personnel and other emergency workers. Organizers said the breakfast is intended as a gesture of gratitude for their daily commitment to the community.
“The Salvation Army is humbled to provide this moment of fellowship and recognition for the men and women who put their lives on the line for us each day,” the organization said in a statement. “On this day of remembrance, we come together to honor their courage and service.”
The annual 9/11 Hero breakfast is exclusively for active and currently serving first responders.
