Dr. David Prudhomme, longtime Vicksburg optometrist, dies at 62

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN)— Dr. David Prudhomme, a well-known optometrist in Vicksburg, has died at the age of 62. The Warren County Coroner’s Office confirmed his death, stating he died of natural causes.

Prudhomme served as a senior optometrist at Riverbend Eyecare, and cared for patients in the community for many years. A Vicksburg native, he graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1992. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College in 1985.
