Lady Vikes shutout Ridgeland 8-0

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren Central girls soccer team earned an 8-0 shutout victory over Ridgeland with a balanced scoring effort and consistent pressure throughout the match.

Warren Central opened the scoring in the first half when Allie Mason scored the first goal with an assist from Jordan Polk. Polk followed with the second goal and later added the third goal, which was assisted by Mason. Addi Mullen then scored the fourth goal for the Lady Vikes to extend the lead. Mullen later added another score, recording the fifth goal with an assist from Kennedy Smith. Laney Bull scored the sixth goal off an assist from Mullen, and Kennedy Smith found the net for the seventh goal with an assist from Polk to close out the first-half scoring.

In the second half, Laney Bull scored her second goal of the match to account for the Lady Vikes’ eighth and final goal.

Warren Central finished with 34 total shots, including 19 on goal. The Lady Vikes also recorded seven corner kicks and allowed just two saves in the dominant performance.
