Brycen Jones selected for MAIS Basketball Futures Game

FLOWOOD, Miss.(VDN) — Brycen Jones, a Vicksburg native, has been selected to play in the MAIS Basketball Futures Game. Jones received the invitation recently and will compete against some of the top athletes in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools.

“I feel great about this and honored to be selected,” Jones said. “I still have to stay focused and locked in because my season isn’t over.”

Jones, a junior power forward for Hartfield Academy, is averaging 15 points and eight rebounds per game as Hartfield holds a 21-10 record. He is the team’s second-leading scorer.

Hartfield Academy will face Madison-Ridgeland Academy tonight in the semifinals.

The All-Star Game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.
