Dana McGivney selected to coach in MAC Rising All-Stars Softball Game

ELLISVILLE, Miss.(VDN) — Dana McGivney, a former Vicksburg resident, has been selected to coach in the Mississippi Association of Coaches Rising All-Stars Softball Game.

The selection was announced last week, with McGivney listed as one of the coaches for the North Team.

McGivney is in her third year as head coach at Oxford High School. Prior to taking the position in Oxford, she led Warren Central High School’s softball program for 17 years, guiding the Lady Vikes to more than 200 wins during her tenure.

In 2024, McGivney was also chosen to coach in the Mississippi Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game.

One of her current players at Oxford, Jayla Clark, will compete in this year’s Rising All-Stars game.

The game is scheduled for May 28-29 at Jones College in Ellisville.
