Malik Franklin pours in back-to-back 30-point games and earns conference honors at William Carey
VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Vicksburg native Malik Franklin delivered two 30-point performances last week to help power William Carey University to a pair of victories and add to his growing list of accolades.
Franklin opened the week with 35 points in a 99-86 win over Tennessee Southern on Thursday. He followed that effort Friday with another dominant outing, scoring 30 points in an 84-80 victory over Life University.
In addition to his recent scoring surge, Franklin was named the SSAC Sixth Man of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference honors. He is averaging more than 17 points per game this season.
William Carey improved to 27-4 overall, with Franklin emerging as one of the key contributors to the team’s success this year.
