Ja’Niyah Mazie receives Key Club Scholarship
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Ja’Niyah Mazie, a Vicksburg native and senior at Vicksburg High School, has received a $1,000 Key Club Scholarship. The Kiwanis Club of Vicksburg announced the award Wednesday in a Facebook post featuring Mazie alongside past president David Blackledge.
Mazie is set to graduate next week from Vicksburg High School, where she has been active in several organizations and leadership roles. She currently serves as secretary of the Key Club and president of Mu Alpha Theta. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society.
During the 2025-26 school year, Mazie was selected as Homecoming Maid of Honor. Most recently, she was named the MVP of the cheerleading team at Tuesday’s athletics banquet.
