Elmer Lee Keller 1936-2026
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
Elmer Lee Keller born of Vicksburg, Mississippi May 23, 1936, passed away Friday June 26th, Elmer was a loving husband ,father, and papaw he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he was a member of the Army 82nd Airborne and he told many stories of jumping out of planes and all the things he saw along the way. He was a boxer by trade and if you’ve ever heard anybody talk about our papaw they know he was a fighter but he loved his woman. He worked hard for what he had and would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He lived simple, talked slow, and loved hard. He loved to dance and sing and if you didn’t know how he’d loved to show you, patient and kind really sums up his happy soul. He brought light to any room he walked into.
Elmer Lee is survived by his sons Darren Keller, Dwain and David Pugh, grandchildren Cammi Keller , Carley Lee, Mackenzie Keller and Addi Rae Keller, Samantha Cliff ,Allen and Jason Pugh and whole bunch of great grandchildren
He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Joann Keller,his son Devin Keller, his grandmother Loretta Mae Fowler, his mother Evelyn Craft, his father Elmer Jack Keller and his best friend Billy Ray Whitehead.
Pallbearers-Darren Keller, David Pugh, Cammi Keller, Robert Kapp, Jimmy Barlow, and Health Pickering.
Visitation is Tuesday June 30th 2026 at 9-10 am and funeral to follow.
