Bobby Glen Mitchell 1940-2026

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —

Bobby Glen Mitchell passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026. He was 85 years old. He was born in Sisley, Louisiana on September 24, 1940. He enjoyed going to different casinos and hunting. After he retired, he stayed to himself.

He is preceded by his parents, wife, Joyce Mitchell; son, Bobby Joe Mitchell; brothers, Dean Mitchell and James Wesley; sisters, Mary Lou Bryant, Gene Vines and Wanda Faye Ward. 

He is survived by his sons, Thomas Wayne Mitchell (Brenda) and Roy Glen Mitchell; brother, Raymond Mitchell; sister, Ferndale Mitchell. 

Pallbearers will be Ray Bryant, Kevin Bryant, Jimmy Chanell, Bobby Earl Sikes, Calvin Jackson and Robert Sikes.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Wintergreen Cemetery.
