Funeral arrangements have been announced for Vicksburg native and former football standout Levi Eric Wyatt Jr., who died in a car crash at the age of 23.

A public visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, with family members present, at Lakeview Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at the Vicksburg City Auditorium.

The family has also made a special request, asking those wishing to honor Wyatt not to have memorial T-shirts made.

The funeral announcement includes Proverbs 3:5-6, which reads: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Wyatt was a standout football player at Vicksburg High School, Holmes County Central and Hillcrest Christian before continuing his career at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC., McNeese State, and Jackson State University. He was remembered by family, friends, teammates and the community for his impact both on and off the football field.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lakeview Funeral Home.
