County awards bid for Clear Creek Nature Trail

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren County Board of Supervisors awarded the bid for the construction of a nature trail to be added at Clear Creek Park.

At the regular BOS meeting held Monday, Aug. 3, the Board voted to approve the bid for the Clear Creek Nature/Hiking Trail project. This is part of ongoing improvements to the public park to provide more leisure and entertainment opportunities for Warren County residents.

According to County Engineer Keith O’Keefe, the lowest bidder was Wildstone Construction Services whose bid was $159,995.51. The engineering estimate for the project was $154,000.

O’Keefe explained the bid was close to the engineering estimate and urged the Board to approve the bid.

Wildstone Construction Services is a privately owned and operated company based out of Flora, Miss. According to the company’s website, the business is also a certified Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), a certified MDOT DBE contractor, a licensed commercial contractor, a licensed residential contractor, and a licensed professional engineering firm.
