Key City to host science and beer fusion night
Key City Brewing Company is set to host a unique evening of science, beer and two guys named Cody.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Key City Brewing Company is set to host a unique evening of science, beer and two guys named Cody.
The event is slated as being the inaugural Science on Tap night. Set for Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., the event will be a laid-back evening featuring two U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) researchers sharing some seriously fascinating science. And yes, they are both named Cody.
Dr. Cody Salter is an Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) and will speak about how advanced computational modeling is being used to tackle real-world challenges.
Dr. Cody Shelton works in the Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) and will discuss the science behind the Liberty Lifter, a massive military seaplane designed to skim across ocean waves.Each presentation will be about 10 to 15 minutes, and are designed for a general audience—no science degree required. Following the presentations there will be a Q&A session designed for the public to have a chance to chat with the researchers.
