Two students earn Eagle Scout status

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Two students from Vicksburg Warren School District were recognized at the monthly Board of Trustees meeting held Thursday, Sept. 24, for becoming Eagle Scouts,
Jacob Porter, a senior at Warren Central High School, and Warren Green, a junior at WCHS, were honored after earning their rankings.
VWSD Superintendent Dr. Torian Holloway said, “Scouting is built to develop character, citizenship and self-reliance in young people through outdoor adventures and community service. Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is the pinnacle of that journey. A distinction earned by only five percent of all scouts throughout the world. This is an outstanding accomplishment, and we want to acknowledge them.”
