A Cultural Tasting event this Sunday – foodie alert
A cultural tasting event, an afternoon of culture, food and entertainment will take place this Sunday.
The Vicksburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will host our 32nd Annual International Awareness and Involvement Project on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ardis T. Williams, Sr., Auditorium, 901 Monroe Street.
The 2024 theme is A Cultural Tasting Fiesta featuring African, African American, Caribbean/West Indies, Mexican, and Native American Cuisines.
This 2024 Black History Celebration will feature cultural interviews, exhibits, food tasting, music, singing, and vendors. Musical talents of Pastor Antoine Eakins, Mr. Dwayne Griffin, Mr. Rod Sturgis, Mr. Jerry Jenkins, Dr. Who (Mr. Bud Carson), and the Vicksburg High School Drumline will be showcased. This afternoon of culture, food, and entertainment is a family affair. Proceeds will be used to support local, national, and international projects of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Open to the public, the admission is $10.
