Have you ever wanted to learn more about Vicksburg and Warren County? Well, according to Leadership Vicksburg and the Vicksburg-Warren County Partnership, the answers aren’t found in a brochure but through a hands on immersive learning opportunity.

Leadership Vicksburg gives one a behind-the-scenes look at Warren County through exclusive visits to many of the organizations shaping the communityThroughout the nine-month program, participants will meet the leaders who are making a difference and gain a deeper understanding of how Vicksburg works—from local government and economic development to healthcare, education, manufacturing, engineering, small business, and tourism.

Past classes have toured organizations and industries including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ERDC, Merit Health River Region, Ergon, local schools, MCITy, city and county government, and the Mississippi State Capitol. Along the way, participants have built lasting relationships with community leaders and fellow professionals while gaining a greater appreciation for the people and organizations that make Vicksburg unique.

Take the opportunity to learn, grow, and become part of the next generation of leaders shaping the future of Vicksburg.

But don’t wait—applications for the 2026–2027 Leadership Vicksburg class close this Friday, July 31.

Participants will identify and address key issues impacting Vicksburg-Warren County, fostering solutions that benefit both the community and the participants. The program will kick off with an orientation and retreat in late August and then meet the second Wednesday each month.
