Story from Alcorn Athletics:
LORMAN – Alcorn State men’s basketball put together a dominant performance on both ends of the floor, securing a 79-60 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday evening at the Davey L. Whitney Health & Physical Education Complex. The Braves controlled the game from start to finish, earning their sixth SWAC win of the season.

Marcus Tankersley led the way with 15 points, hitting seven of his eight free-throw attempts while adding a rebound and two assists. Michael Pajeaud delivered an outstanding all-around game with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks. Davian Williams and Jalyke Gaines-Wyatt each scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Julian Lual came off the bench to add 11 points, knocking down three three-pointers. The Braves dominated the glass with a 43-33 rebounding advantage and shot an efficient 47.2% from the field.

Alcorn built a double-digit lead in the first half and never looked back, using stifling defense and fast-break opportunities to pull away in the second half.
