Arrest Made in Weekend House Fire

On Friday, February 2, 2024, officers were dispatched along with units of the Vicksburg Fire Department to a reported structure fire at 508 Speed Street. After the fire was extinguished the body of Ernest Gleese, 75, was discovered inside.

Carolyn Mansfield, 50, of Vicksburg was arrested on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, charged with Arson and Murder.

Appearing before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Mansfield received a $1,750,000 bond and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
