Austen Ware graduated from the United States Marine Corps Boot Camp

Private First Class Austen Ware graduated from the United States Marine Corps Boot Camp at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina. The Vicksburg native officially graduated on Friday, September 13, 2024. 

Ware successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at the MRCD and was one of 587 Recruits in Training Battalion 3068. He became a fire team leader during his time in training. 

Following ten days at home on leave, Ware will report to Camp Lejune in North Carolina for two months at the Infantry Training Battalion.

Ware is a 2019 graduate of Vicksburg High and he mentioned that he joined the Marines to better himself and to become a role model for his children.
