Bill Dance’s Catfish Tournament Offers $200K Prize in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Bill Dance’s Mississippi River Monsters Megabucs Tournament will return on July 27th and 28th in Vicksburg, MS. This event gathers top anglers for a chance to win the largest prize in catfishing tournament history, with a total purse of $200,000.
Festivities begin with a “Meet the Anglers” block party on Thursday, July 25th, at 6 PM at the River Walk Casino parking lot. This family-friendly event offers music, food, and entertainment.
On Friday, July 26th, at 6 PM, a boat parade will showcase the tournament boats, building excitement for the competition.
The fishing competition starts on Saturday, July 27th, on the Mississippi River. Anglers will compete for the top prize of $100,000. The weigh-in occurs at 3 PM at the Vicksburg Convention Center. Simultaneously, the Catfishing Expo will open at noon, featuring vendors selling apparel, tackle, and gear. Legendary angler Bill Dance and “Duck Dynasty’s” John Godwin will be present to meet the public.
After the weigh-in, the top 25 teams will compete on Sunday, July 28th, for the final showdown. The first-place team wins $100,000, while teams placing 2nd through 10th will split the remaining $100,000.
