California murder suspect caught in Mississippi

On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Hattiesburg Police were contacted by the San Diego Police Department in reference to assisting in the apprehension of a male suspect wanted for a homicide investigation that occurred in San Diego, Calif., on March 1, 2024.

Hattiesburg Police officers were able to locate the fugitive, Jacarre Easter, 23, of San Diego, who was taken into custody without serious incident in the 2000 block of West 4th Street in Hattiesburg at approximately 6 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released once available.
