Chamber of Commerce to host “Leadership Lessons from Ted Lasso”

VICKSBURG, Miss. – The Vicksburg Warren Chamber of Commerce‘s 2024 Chamber Training series continues next week, November 6, with “Leadership Lessons from Ted Lasso” with Gerad Hardy, Assistant Professor of Management at Millsaps College.

Hardy will delve into key leadership traits demonstrated by Ted Lasso and how to apply them in your work and life.

What You’ll Learn:

  • “Be a goldfish”: Embrace the power of a short memory to overcome setbacks.
  • “Believe”: Harness the power of optimism and confidence to inspire your team.
  • “Taking on a challenge is a lot like riding a horse. If you’re comfortable while you’re doing it, you’re probably doing it wrong”: Step out of your comfort zone to grow and improve.

Leadership Lessons from Ted Lasso is free for Vicksburg Warren Chamber of Commerce members, and $35 per person for non-chamber members. To RSVP to the event, click here.

“Ted Lasso” is a comedy series that follows an optimistic American football coach, Ted Lasso, who is hired to manage a struggling English soccer team despite having no experience in the sport. Played by Jason Sudeikis, Ted brings humor, kindness, and resilience to the job. The Emmy-winning show explores themes of teamwork, mental health, and positivity.
