College workshop offers guidance on admissions, aid and planning

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) – Binnacle Education Group will host a three-part workshop series this summer to help students and families navigate the college admissions process, financial aid, and future planning.

Titled Pathway to College: Admissions, Aid, & Action!, the interactive series will provide practical tools and resources to help students get ahead, get accepted and get funded. Participants will learn how to crack the college admissions code, master financial aid and scholarships, and build a customized college game plan through hands-on activities and take-home checklists.

Each session of the college workshop is $30 and will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the George Oakes Building on the Hinds Community College Vicksburg campus. Check-in begins at 3:30 p.m.

The workshop dates and topics are:

• June 5, 2025 – “Understanding College Admissions”
• June 26, 2025 – “Navigating Financial Aid and Scholarships”
• July 10, 2025 – “Tools, Timelines, and Next Steps”

The series is open to students and families and is not affiliated with any school or organization.
