Community Meeting to Change Vicksburg City Government This Thursday

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Vicksburg will hold a Community Meeting to discuss changing the city’s government this Thursday, July 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Warren County Courthouse, 1009 Cherry Street.
Dr. Dallas Breen, Executive Director for the John C. Stennis Institute of Government and Community Development and Assistant Research Professor in Political Science and Public Administration at Mississippi State University, will be the featured speaker. Dr. Breen offers expertise in local and state government, human resources management, demography, survey research, and statistics. He combines his academic knowledge with public service and applied research to promote the health and well-being of Mississippi citizens.
Dr. Breen has extensive research expertise in policy areas and applied research fields, including broadband access, economic well-being, and public health. He has served as the principal investigator on numerous policy studies for Mississippi and other entities. He works closely with organizations to promote civic education in underserved areas of Mississippi to improve the quality of life for all. Dr. Breen also provides yearly training to newly elected officials in Mississippi at various association meetings.
All Vicksburg residents are encouraged to attend the Community Meeting and ask questions.
